Who is Megumin?
Megumin is an archmage and the self-proclaimed top genius of the Crimson Demons, an order of magicians who are born with high intelligence and magical powers. Despite being an archwizard, she can only use the high level skill 'Explosion', the strongest of all offensive magic, and only once a day as it consumes tremendous magical power. Due to this she is more often a liability than an asset.

Kazuma Satou decides that today is the day to get out of the house for a bit. Since he dies, pointlessly, it's clearly a bad choice. The goddess who greets him in the afterlife, however, offers him a chance to be reborn in a world not unlike that of a video game, and as a bonus she'll even throw in a cool item or power! Can't possibly be a bad choice, right?
